More Taiwan trip photos from October

love this picture of sunny. we were waiting forever for the bus! ended up hoping in the taxi and heading on over to the jade market. more pictures below and a new post....until next time.

louisa...in the middle...has a steep trap for a mind! she was the one that hired me for teaching in taiwan and after two plus years...she remembered me. knowing how many teachers come through kojen, i was rather impressed. we all had a great time catching up and chatting.

fresh...very fresh fish...waiting for you to buy them up right out of the baskets on the street!

oh....the english!

this was new since i moved...it's half sweet sausage and the black side is octopus. i couldn't get myself to try it...i stuck with the sweet sausage.

i miss the little stands you can find in any little town in taiwan where you can see the artist at work.

i'm gettin' fingerprinted!!

whew!....what a month! finished my courses at bemidji state university for the semester, catching up with geology, finals, quit my job, dealing with thyroid problems...after two years, my levels still aren't normal :( and i'm fatigued again...such a bummer.

i wish i had some exciting news, but it's pretty much the norm here in northern wisconsin. i have to go over to the police station today and get fingerprinted! it's for my teaching license, thank you. it's weird...this spring is the last semester before student teaching and getting fingerprinted is just something we have to do. i also have to pick out places i would like to student teach at by the end of january. i'm planning on staying in this area and fan out from there. hopefully someone out there would like free slave labor in a 7th or 8th grade science class for 3 months. i'm also planning on heading over to an education job fair in april in minneapolis. school districts from all over the country and even some international schools come over for the day and interview on site. i'm still planning on alaska, but i'm open to a few other states too...like wyoming, or oregon. there's a very good possibility i could receive an emergency teaching license for student teaching by a prospective employer for the fall. that would be something!! move up to alaska in august :) !!

see...i wasn't jokin'...i really don't have anything exciting to talk about. just hanging out here, planning on going down to wausau for christmas day. have a good holiday!
