notice the tail tuck? this is why maggie mei mei is taking obedience classes. we were instructed to walk around a dog who was sitting in the middle of the room who needed help with aggression. anyway...this is maggie out of her comfort zone. we're working on her confidence. she's going to be a confident dog in any situation...i won't stop trying to help her!

maggie's such a scaredy-dog...afraid of a 10 week old puppy!

maggie's classmate...she didn't know what to think of him. she definately was interested in playing but she'd run away with her tail tucked. her size didn't seem to matter to her.

maggie was in a relaxed state and we were working on the "watch" command. she was able to hold my gaze for about 4 seconds. she did pretty darned good.

maggie mei mei is taking classes!

wow! i can't believe i haven't updated in so long. christmas in a nutshell was okay. tom went down to wausau to spend the day with the kids and dave came over to spend it with me. we went down to see my dad and took the puppy along with us. my dad can barely talk anymore and he's unable to walk...but i believe he knew who we were...he loves petting maggie and trying to catch her tongue. she keeps licking him all the time.

i start classes again in a week. i'm taking human relations, social studies, drugs in society (required), language arts and elementary math for teachers. i'm looking forward to all of them actually. social studies will be a lot of work...i have to plan a unit and then teach a lesson or two. i'm thinking of doing the unit on communism in china concentrating on when it began or maybe the japanese occupation. who knows...lots of ideas in my head. i have to find a 1st or 2nd grade reading buddy for language arts...a student who's beginning to learn to read. i think that should be pretty interesting.

maggie mei mei started her obedience class last night. she did very well, however she's is the scardee-dog of the class. most of the time her tail was tucked, but at least she showed interest in the other dogs. her submissiveness and fear of things is exactly why i signed her up for the class. she needs to be socialized as much as possible. she is the smartest dog in the class...and the prettiest if you ask me. she's getting spayed next week so she'll miss class, but the trainer said she'll catch us up later.

not much else is happening. i'm hoping to go down to madison for a weekend the second weekend of february....visit a friend, do some shopping, lounge in the jacuzzi. let's just say i hope my taxes come in time.
